T 15

I have two of these and only need one, this is the better of the two. The other has more surface rust. This is an original T 15 Griphoist made in Luxembourg. I believe made by Trifor under original patent, but cant read every letter on that part of label. The cable has a stop so you dont pull the wire though as it can be difficult to reinstall it. I would never buy one of these without original griphoist wire as the jaws wont work right and the unit may twist around Capacity listed 1500 pounds. About 22′ of 5/16″ GRIPHOIST wire, not hardware store variety, with a breaking strength about five times higher. There are shear pin like devices on the handle mechanism and not sure what they are rated for, probably 1500 pounds. The grip hoist works great, i have lifted big engines, pulled pilings out that were driven into mud, pulled vehicles out of ditches where another vehicle spun its wheels Please do your research before purchase, i can email a Trifor operating manual which includes the T 17 which is about the same size and also uses 5/16 wire rope Comes with two handles, you dont need to use both at same time. I use mostly the plastic handle and if working it over your head its the safest if the handle falls out. The plastic handle has a nice round top for the palm of your hand and is metal lined at the bottom. The metal one is galvanized steel tubing. you could also buy a piece of 3/4″ pipe. I guess you could gle in both handles—one pulls in one releases. There is short T handle—that is only used to release the jaws to insert new wire rope
