Shepard Electric Crane and Hoist Serial No. 24630
A used Shepard Electric Crane and Hoist Serial No. 24630. You should check the history of this crane company. They were use to lift the original atomic bombs-I am sure it was a different and larger unit, interesting history anyways. I am Sure Ralph who built the hanger sometime in the early 50s, was frugal and salvaged this unit from someplace? And engineered it, repurposed it for a relatively larg up down door for general Aviation maintenance hanger. This is being sold as a whole system! The application that it was use last for was an Aircraft Hangar up and down big door-so-All the electrical control circuits are included for that application. The up, down switch, up, down limit switches, fuse box and controlling relays for a 230volt 3ph system. The wires are colored/wire diagrams-that would make it very easy to reconnect this system to lift a door or what ever you planned for this hoist. We would hit the up button, and the Hagar door would open until it hit the limit switch.- than the down button to lower the door unit hit the down limit switch, and any time I could hit the stop button to stop the door exactly where I wanted it and it would not move unless I hit either up,down switch again. Simple?! This is vintage and this brand of cranes hoists made before ww11 (at least). We had the fastest best sounding(very distinct sound hanger door. The cable was cut in order to move it out of the hanger, but it can easily be replaced. There is a cap missing off the brake that was never on before. The crane, the wire, and the electrical boxes weigh 300 pounds total, so this must be shipped freight on a pallet or a crate. Contact us for a shipping quote.
